🚆 By Train (Renfe Cercanías)
Marbella does not currently have a direct train connection to Malaga Airport or the city center. The C1 Cercanías coastal rail line terminates in Fuengirola, meaning travelers coming by train from Malaga must alight there and transfer to a bus for the remaining 30km journey to Marbella.
🚌 By Intercity Bus (Avanza / ALSA)
Avanza bus operates a direct express service from Malaga Airport to Marbella Bus Station (taking roughly 45 minutes). From the Marbella central bus station, you must take a taxi or a local shuttle bus (when available) up the mountain to the Starlite quarry.
Being situated on the eastern coastline, public transport options diminish dramatically after midnight. If you are staying in Malaga city or arriving at the airport, pre-booking a private transfer is the only guaranteed way to lock in a fixed price for this long-distance route.
