The drive from Malaga Airport (AGP) to Marbella covers approximately 52 kilometers along the AP-7 motorway, the modern toll highway that runs parallel to the Mediterranean coastline. This is the fastest and most comfortable route, taking around 40 minutes under normal traffic conditions. We always use the AP-7 toll road (toll included in your price) rather than the older, slower N-340 coast road to ensure you reach your destination as quickly as possible.
After leaving the airport, you'll briefly join the MA-20 ring road heading west before merging onto the AP-7. The route passes through the hills overlooking Torremolinos and Fuengirola before descending toward the Marbella coast. During summer (June–September), traffic on the free A-7 alternative can cause significant delays, but the AP-7 toll road remains free-flowing year-round — one of the key advantages of booking a private transfer with us.
